Crying bride tells brother to stay away from family photos – he can’t believe ‘ridiculous’ reason why

It’s probably not a night she’ll want to remember forever.

A 15-year-old brother of a bride has claimed he was barred from his sister’s wedding because she and their mother had a meltdown over his crutches being visible in family photos.

The 22-year-old nuclear bridezilla named Sophia showed some sympathy that her younger sibling Boris, who lives with mild cerebral palsy, was “having a very ‘free’ day,” the boy wrote on Reddit recently.

“My legs hurt and my balance was really bad,” he posted. “Although I planned to use my black cane, I ended up using my crutches which are blue. I thought it would be cool (because who would care anyway?)”

It was only after the reception that the two were able to first “say hello” on the big day.

However, instead of a loving hug, “she seemed terribly offended” that he wasn’t using his color-palette-friendly cane—she was worried that his blue crutch would “disrupt the color scheme” and instructed her brother to remain seated throughout.

Despite Boris being limited to “relying heavily on [his] crutches for balance,” she still complained [their mom] with a strange voice” that he was “waiting” for the photos.

“I told him to suck it up. Then she prayed to us [mom] to tell me not to be in FAMILY PHOTOS”, wrote Boris.

“I was sure that my [mom] would notice how ridiculous this is mine [mom] I just stuck with my sister and she told me I was technically ruining the subject.”

A heated argument ensued between the three before things took a turn for the worse. Sophia’s make-up was ruined by her tears over the “ugly blue crutches” in the photo – and Boris’s mother sent her home.

“I couldn’t believe my sister was crying over something so stupid,” wrote Boris, the only son of seven sisters.

“I wasn’t allowed to stay for the food, or the cutting of the cake… My whole family is saying ‘it’s her special day’ and how I ruined it by causing a fuss.”

Outside the clan, opinions differed online.

“Your family is a bunch of a-holes. They owe you an apology,” one commented.

“The day is about love, where’s the love in that?” added another.

“Your sister got mad over something so stupid,” preached a third. “And then get kicked out of the whole thing because she was being funny. And everyone will know that your family kicked you out of reception because of your disability, which you cannot control!”
