He’s asking for their IDs – and they’re asking for his number.

Luke Timm, 26, mans the door outside Lower East Side bar 82 Stanton, but the 6-foot-5 bouncer with electric hazel eyes has also become a crowd pleaser.

“I don’t want to sound like an arrogant a-hole,” Timm, who lives in the East Village, told The Post. “I always knew I was a pretty boy.”

Timm can regularly be seen flashing his six-pack abs at the bar and flirting with regulars.

The bar, formerly Epstein’s at the corner of Stanton and Allen, has typically welcomed a casual crowd of 20 people drinking beer on their outdoor patio since opening in 2018.

However, ever since Poughkeepsie, New York, native Timm started posting TikToks as @security_nyc, flashing his six-pack abs at the bar and flirting with regulars, single women have flocked to the sidewalk where Timm sits from happy until closing most nights.

“I’ll literally come to this bar just for you I’m obsessed,” one excited woman commented.

“I would die for you,” added another.

But women are much more reserved when they meet Timm in person – they don’t want to scare him off.

While most bar patrons roll their eyes when stopped by a bouncer, the ladies in line at 82 Stanton have come for just that.

“The LES has given me a bit of notoriety,” Timm admitted. Stefano Giovannini

“He definitely lived up to the hype,” Victoria Emerson, 26, told The Post, laughing. “He is a very nice person.”

Emerson and two girlfriends joined the group of girls at the bar recently after watching his videos. Now, they regularly stop at 82 Stanton for eye candy.

On their first visit, Emerson and her crew walked away with three numbers — including Timm’s.

“Honestly, I feel like he just sets the tone. The combination of being super attractive and kind of super friendly puts you in the mood to mingle,” she said.

Timm went from unknown to overnight glamor when he was mentioned on the popular Match Made in Manhattan podcast. “82 Stanton. Oh my God, the liar was so hot,” said one of the hosts. “People were overwhelmed.”

And according to Timm, after he emerged as the “hot liar,” 82 Stanton had “the best week of the summer.”

“The LES has given me a bit of fame,” he admitted.

Now, the crowd has morphed from finance brochures and the women who worship them to a slightly younger crowd, mostly women, who laugh a little too loudly as they try to get Timm’s attention.

On a recent night, women in their early to mid-20s batted their extended eyelashes as they gathered around tables by the door, hoping to go home with him, get his number or at least to be asked to star in his next viral video. .

“I’m not actively looking for a partner, but, of course, I’m having fun and doing my own thing,” said Timm, who confirmed he’s single.

However, Timm insisted that the people behind 82 Stanton don’t want it to be “a TikTok bar” – so he wants to “make sure his regular base is down-to-earth people”.

Another seemingly contradictory stance: Timm is six years sober and on a mission to help others struggling with addiction and mental health.

The former high school football and basketball star saw his dreams dashed after he was kicked off the Princeton football team following his second drug and alcohol arrest when he was just 19 years old.

Timm said his struggles began much earlier when he started drinking at age 12 and smoking marijuana as a sophomore. He said he was so often high that it became his new normal, despite being a successful high school athlete.

But when his addiction led him to quit the football team and leave the Ivy League school, it finally clicked. It wasn’t easy, but Timm has been sober since April 21, 2018, which allowed him to return to Princeton to finish his degree.

“I never had the desire [drink or do drugs again]”, insisted Timm. “It’s the craziest thing. I think I just completely rewired my brain.”

“People are a little bit mesmerized by a good comeback story,” he said, though his story doesn’t seem to be the main reason for the crowd. Stefano Giovannini

Now, he and his cousin John Timm, who manages 82 Stanton, have co-founded Touch Streets, an organization to help recovering addicts “set their goals” to make positive changes in their lives.

And despite his past, Timm isn’t on a mission to one-up everyone.

“I’m almost promoting the drink,” he admitted. “There are a lot of people who can enjoy alcohol and whatnot and not have a major problem in their lives.”

He’s just not one of them. So at the bar, he drinks water and makes sure everyone has a fun and safe time.

And when his story comes to light, it just makes the women even more bitter.

“People are a little bit mesmerized by a good comeback story,” he said, though his story doesn’t seem to be the main reason for the crowd.

“He’s cute,” Tali Atias, 24, told The Post while waiting outside the bar. “I will definitely be back.”
